previously. Blue Hill at Stone Barns, november 2011

Part 1.

We drove here for an early seating time and found the place empty but for the two of us. As the meal progressed and the sun set over the dining room, I looked up and all of a sudden every table in the room was filled and there were more than a dozen waitstaff and runners bustling and hustling. I loved the large display of farm fresh produce, and the few minutes our waitress took to bring a basket of mushrooms over to the table to explain their provenance and harvest.

I think the farm could be quite gorgeous in summer, and I've quite the affinity for open-sky courtyards.
